Current Beauty Favorites, Vol. 2

Before we officially close out summer, I wanted to talk about my late summer current beauty and skincare favorites.

Bug Spray: Captain Blankenship Sail Away Bug Spray

I don’t know what it is about this summer, but I’ve had more mosquito bites than I remember having in many years. So I’ve had to resort to bug spray. This one happens to be all natural and to smell pretty good as well because it’s comprised of various essential oils to repel bugs. This bug spray is effective with regular application.

Eye Cream: Vow Beauty Happily Ever After Eye Gel

I’m not super consistent with applying eye cream, but I like this brand that I discovered during the 2018 Project Beauty Expo because it’s a clear gel consistency that can easily be layered over make-up. This product is great for waking up my face before applying moisturizer, sunscreen and other products.

Facial Scrub: Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator

I don’t use physical exfoliators very often on my face, but this one is gentle enough that i don’t worry that I’m creating small tears in my skin. This scrub is not too abrasive for use 1-2 times a week.

Hair Cream: Beija Flor Naturals Creme Brulee for Kinks, Curls and Coils

I also discovered this product at the 2018 Project Beauty Expo . This cream is great product to layer on top of leave-in conditioner for twist outs. It’s moisturizing and absorbs nicely into my hair. I can see this being a staple in the winter time as well when I need to really layer on moisturizing products to keep my hair from drying out.
