My Current Facial Toner Rotation

I know there are skeptics, but I do find that toner helps with the overall look and feel of my skin when I use it regularly. According to an expert quoted in Into the Gloss, a toner's function is to complete the cleansing of your skin—removing the dust, pollution, and impurities that can still be lingering after washing with a cleanser, as cleansers usually contain ingredients such as oil, which can leave a film on your face. Below are the toners currently in my rotation for my “normal” skin (which sometimes acts up and has oily spots).

Thayers Witch Hazel - Rose Petal

Hands down my favorite toner which is great year round but I do like it during the winter months when I need a little more moisture in general.

Indie Lee COQ-10 Toner

This is the newest addition to my collection which I’m using to help my skin hydration and overall clarity of my skin.

Caudalie Moisturizing Toner

I purchased this toner last summer in Paris at a drug store and only have like two drops left and though I do like it, I probably won’t re-purchase it unless I see it again in a European drug store.

Nectarome Orange Blossom Water

I purchased this during my trip to Marrakech last November and really like it as a more astringent in case I feel any blemishes pop up. I do want to try it mixed with a clay mask the next time I give myself one. It’s refreshing and reminds me of how much I enjoyed visiting Morrocco.

Shea Moisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Toner

My toner of choice when my skin isn’t behaving and I get a blemish. I don’t typically get major breakouts, but sometimes do get a stray pimple here and there or fine bumps if I don’t stay on a consistent skin routine or forget to wash my make-up brushes frequently.

Do you use toner? And if so, do you have any favorites?
