Currently Loving...

My shopping habits may have changed a bit over the past year, but I’m still occasionally treating myself to items here and there. Here are some items I’m currently loving. You’ll see that many of my current favorites revolve around home and self-care.

1 | Juanita’s Plants

I’ve always thought that plants bring vitality to a space. I’ve been slowly purchasing plants for my apartment and love the home delivery that Juanita’s Plants offers for NYC locals. While my plant skills are very basic at best, I do look forward to purchasing more plants from Juanita’s this Spring.

2 | Sony Wireless Headphones

Like many other people I’ve been taking daily (and sometimes twice daily walks around my neighborhood. I accidentally left my ear buds that my phone came with in my desk at my job’s office which I haven’t been to since March 2020…so I needed a replacement. These headphones have come in handy on my morning walks when I want to listen to an audiobook (I never listened to audiobooks before the pandemic) or a podcast. These headphones are affordable and the charge lasts quite a while.

3 | Gua Sha Jade Stone

Gua sha involves scraping your skin with a massage tool to improve your circulation. Gua she can be done all over the body but is gained popularity as a facial practice/treatment. Gua Sha is a part of traditional Chinese medicine that has gained some popularity in the United States for the past few years. I use a stone similar to the one linked as a part of my skincare routine to help with smoothing my skin and releasing tension from jaw clenching.

4 | Argan Oil

I pair my Gua Sha pratice with facial oils and Argan oil is a favorite. I usually spritz my face with rose water, then apply Argan Oil and do my Gua Sha routine. I’ve liked using Argan Oil for a while but it became even more of a staple after seeing how it was made on a trip I took to Morocco a couple of years ago.

5 | Leather Fanny Pack

Another product I often use on my frequent walks when I just need the basics like my wallet to carry around. I don’t actually wear this as a fanny pack, but use it more like a cross body bag across my jacket.

6 | Donut Vase

I saw variations of ceramic donut shaped vases all over the internet lately so of course I had to get one for myself. My donut vase was a nice addition to my living room bookshelves.

7 | Bullet Journal

I have tried Bullet journaling in the past and picked up the practice again at the beginning of this year. As much as I enjoy writing notes in apps like Evernote, I still love writing things down. Bullet journaling is flexible enough that you can track just about anything you want to track/collect in it. I use mine to track things like books I’ve read, savings goals, exercise goals and more. You can buy fancy journals, pens, stickers, templates and, more to elevate bullet journaling to something super creative, but I enjoy just using a basic black journal and a black pen.
